Édith Piaf used to say “I want people to cry at my songs, even if they don’t understand French”. And that was the exact overall emotion at Iro’s concert in Frankfurt, in a mesmerizing performance before a German and Greek diaspora audience. With her powerful voice, Iro interpreted ballads and songs by world known composers, Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis, along with some of her own greatest hits, and brought to the mind of mystified spectators images and sounds of Greece. With her emotional performance, Iro carries a part of Greece wherever she goes.
